Born in Paris, trained at the École Camondo, Robert Couturier landed in New York in 1987 and decorated Sir James Goldsmith's Mexico estate Cuixmala, then thirty years of theatrical apartments for media and finance clients. His own Litchfield County, Connecticut, country house is a fully realized eighteenth-century French dream.
